Frosty New Years Eve

New Years Eve morning we woke up to a beautiful frost.


I really hate the cold but I love the crunch of the frost on the ground. There is something about that sound that makes me smile and forget just how cold I am.

Frost crystals are so pretty I don't think I will ever cease to be in awe of the intricacies of the ice crystals on the leaves...


... and the walnuts.
