My New Kitchen Tool

Today, a box arrived. You see, Hubby bought me a gift. He knew I really wanted this and I would never think of spending any money on it myself. So, he took matters into his own hands.

Did you see? It's from Sur la Table, a kitchen supply store that I absolutely love.

Just the box makes my heart skip a beat. It means this box contains something to make my time in the kitchen more exciting.

Oooh I can hardley contain myself. I love cooking and being in the kitchen. Every time I am in a cooking store it's like I'm a kid in a toy store.

What is it? What is it? What is it?

An orange box from Le Crueset, some of the best cookware is made by Le Crueset. Enameled cast iron pans that are so heavy weight and conduct heat perfectly. They can be used on the stove or in the oven and are so pretty they can be put on the table and served from. Oh I am so giddy right now.

It's purple and beautiful!
Look at all that gorgeous purple!
I really love this color, it's such a unique color for a pan.

This 6 3/4 quart french oven is so heavy. And it is the most expensive cookware I have ever owned.

The first yummy dinner I plan on cooking in it is Boeuf Bourguignon, Julia Child's Boeuf Bourguignon. Yummmmm.... I can't wait. *super happy dance*

  1. Ohhhh, I LOVE it! I have been wanting one of those amazing dutch ovens for awhile. Hopefully soon we'll be kitchen twins! :) I can't wait to see everything you make in it.

  2. Oh my goodness Morgan, this has been on my wish list for longer than I can remember. I had pointed out the smaller one last time we were shopping in the city. Hubby new best and got me the big one. (We do have a big family so it does make sense.) :)
