Resplendent Spring Beauty

The evidence of spring is all around my neck of the woods. The flowers are blooming and the trees are full of amazing blossoms. The promise of new life, new beginnings and the hope that comes from seeing nature wake up from its’ winter slumber is such a magnificent sight to behold.











It is hard to imagine that this resplendent beauty that is all around pales in comparison to the beauty of the Lord. The one who created the amazing splendor all around me is so much more glorious than my imagination can conceive. It is so easy to just look around and enjoy spring.

But if you take a moment to look even closer, you will see that it is even more amazing than what you first thought.

The love of God is that way also. If you look quickly without really digging into the word you see how awesome God’s love for us is, but when you dig deeper, you see that His love is so much more amazing than we can possibly comprehend.

How deep the Father's love for us, how vast beyond all measure
That he should give his only son, to make a wretch his treasure
How great the pain of searing loss, the Father turned his face away
As wounds which mar the chosen one, bring many sons to glory
