A Thankful Heart

I am so incredibly thankful that God has blessed me with my 4 kids. It was my hearts desire to be a mom and I have been blessed with being a mom 4 times over. Psalms says that children are a reward. How awesome is it that God has rewarded me with my little ones. How sad it is that so many do not see them as a reward but has a hindrance to their plan in life and what they want. Even planning how many you want to have and when I am really seeing as something that is not of the Lord.

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one's youth.
Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them;
They shall not be ashamed,
But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.
*** Psalm 127:3-5 ***

  1. love your thoughts on thankfulness in america the last post and this one....God is so good to continue to show us His grace and goodness in the midst of our complaining! We don't stress about the holiday season here, we love every minute of it. It is not a time to freak out and be stressed, but to enjoy the people around us and to focus on God becoming flesh among us. anyway, i am babbling. know that there are thankful hearts, truly thankful hearts around!

  3. Thanks. I hope you had a very blessed Thanksgiving.
    Someone told my father-in-law that a quiver full was 5, so he had 5 kids. He has been telling me since my first that it is a good start. lol I am content with how ever many God blesses me with. I get the funny looks all the time. And for some reason, no one can believe that I want more. hmmm go figure, maybe they never read that verse. ;)
    Have a very blessed day!
