Election Day

Today is Election Day. As a family we all go together and vote. The kids love that even though they don't get to actually vote, they are part of the process. The reaction of the volunteers when they see all the kids with us is priceless, they always get so excited seeing the kids with us. The volunteers always crack me up, and the kids love getting their "I Voted" sticker when we are done. When Little Man was 5, he was so mad that he didn't get to actually vote, he was adamant that it was his, "right as an American citizen" to vote. He was actually crying about it. I love that about him. Even now, he is still very much in tune with what every proposition says and who is running for what position, and if you ask him he will already tell you which political party he is. I love that about him and I know that when he is old enough to vote, he won't take that responsibility lightly.

  1. That is great that you have a little patriot on your hands. He is already more responsible than so many adults. So cute that he wanted to vote at five.

  2. We take the boybarians to the polls, too.

We are definitely raising future voters. A perfect pic for today!

  4. I took my youngest daughter and son with me this year to vote. They loved it and felt "Super" important! They too wore their stickers proudly and bragged about it all day!
