Yesterday morning as I blindly stumbled towards the kitchen only thinking about my first cup of coffee, I looked out my dining room window and was greeted with a beautiful white backyard.
Everything was covered in a beautiful layer of frost. I am not a fan of the cold, in fact I absolutely detest the cold. I purposely live where it doesn't get that cold and when it does, it is for short periods of time. Sometimes even that is too cold for me.
However I always smile and marvel in God's beauty when he frosts his creation for us to enjoy. It always puts a smile on my face and somehow I don't feel as cold.
The frost was so pretty glistening off the blades of grass...
...and the tiny flowers on the bushes.
I marvel at the intricacies of the little tiny ice crystals. How amazing is it that such tiny details do not go unnoticed by one who created the vastness of our universe.
A layer of frost showing off the details in a leaf recently fallen from the tree struck my eye and reminded me of a crayon rubbing. Only this one is so intricate and perfect and will never be duplicated. It is a one of a kind masterpiece here for only a moment for us to enjoy.

Oh my, that would be a dream come true for me.

ReplyDeleteI know just what you mean. I don't love the cold and frost and oncoming WINTER, but it surely is pretty. Like a sparkly beginning : )
ReplyDeleteI hear you - there's so much detail and amazing-ness out there that some times will never be seen - and it's just there giving God the glory. How great that you were able to capture some beautiful fleeting moments! Even if it was cold! :)
