Mommyhood-A lesson on TRUST

I love being "Mommy" so very much. Hearing my name called is so cool. Knowing that my little ones need me and they trust that every need they have will be met by me. Complete dependence on your mother to be right beside you every step of the way. To have the answer to every question you have no matter how relevant to the current situation it is. We have had many situations around here lately that require Mommy to take care of. Every step of the way; the munchkins just know that I will be there to take care of them. No matter what is going on. They are right, I will. Sometimes exhausted and completely worn out wishing that I could get any type of a break, I will still take care of their every need. (Or, ask Daddy to because I have one of the other munchkins.)
I trusted my parents to take care of everything, and I know they trusted theirs. As a mom, we have an instinct to just take care of it. We hate to see our little ones in pain, thirsty, hungry, sad, or in a bad mood and instantly want to make it better any way we can. Complete and total trust. No second-guessing, no worrying that we won’t - because we do. Mind you I know there have been times where I say “Just a minute, I have to change the baby’s diaper.” Then completely forget until they remind me, but I still do it while apologizing a hundred times. What can one expect from me? I am not perfect.
Nevertheless, there lies the parallel. God is perfect. He will take care of us every step of the way. We can just call on Him and totally trust that He will take care of it. In His perfect way. So, why do we sometimes or often forget that He is God and that He is faithful to take care of us? Our perfect Father is able to take care of us in ways that we cannot possibly imagine and no mater how deep in the mire we think we are in; He is bigger and greater than that. He can pull us out of anything. I am learning right now how to fully rely in His infinite wisdom. Being able to trust that as I express to Him my needs, He will take care of them for me. Right now, it is as if He is saying, “I am preparing my answer to your needs. Just putting on the final touches. Be patient for just a little while and trust that I will take care of you. I promise.” How great it is that I can know, just as my kids know that I will take care of them - He in such a greater more magnificent way is taking care of me. My God is so great! So strong and so mighty. There’s nothing my God cannot do!

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” ***Philippians 4:6&7***

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” ***Philippians 3:20&21***
