Praying Mantis

On Sunday we had a little visitor who cam to hang out on our back porch.

He spent the entire day hanging out on the rail, under the rail, and anywhere else he felt to go.

The crazy thing is that he stayed there all day.

That night when I went to turn off the porch light, he was still on the railing.

So I took some more pictures.

He turned his head to the noise of the camera which I thought was so cool.

A little later, I went back to the door, just curious to see if he had finally left and he was on the window. So all the kids gathered around to check him out as close as you can through the glass. He moved his mouth and cleaned his legs and kept turning his head from side to side. It was so cool and prompted me to decide we are going to study the praying mantis for school this week.
